Alfred Davis was born on 18 April 1882 in Tibberton, Wor. England. Alfred was the first child of John and Eliza to go to the orphanage after John died. When Alfred was about 31 he went to Austrailia. He joined the war effort and died on 25 Apr 1915 in Gallipoli Turkey during World War 1.

In 1899 Alfred was 17 and a bricklayer according to William's Barnardo
record. Alfred served 12 years in Oxford Lt.
Infantry. So if he signed up when he was 17 he would have
been 29 , 12 years later. Then he must have gone to
Australia, in 1911 or so.
